About Me

As a designer, I aim for looking for new challenges. Every project I have done, I always find a new design challenge. I do find each obstacle enjoyable to me. It forces my mind to think outside the box and and take more risks. The risks I take are techniques and skills that I never really used/had no knowledge in. I enjoy taking these risks to do new things in each piece, it always amazes me to see how I was able to overcome each obstacle. My fellow design colleagues would be astonished when we discuss these risks and challenges. I hope in my career, I will continue to try and experience new challenges.

When I was a child, I started drawing random inventions, cartoon and video game characters, and even my own board games. I was practically exploring new creations and ideas and tried to bring them to light. Around high school, this was when I started get into art more as I tried drawing people, specifically my friends. My friends were/are my biggest inspiration when it comes to art, and one of them convinced me to try something digital: Adobe. A friend of mine convinced me to take a photography class with her and that when I got introduced to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. During that time, I absolutely enjoyed taking photos and using these programs. When I moved on to college, that's where I started to take designing and art more seriously. I took classes that taught me Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and even Premiere. I found a lot of joy during those times.

I always make sure my audience is part of the experience. I want someone to look at my work and feel like they are part of what's going on. One of my rules for a design project is that every design should be sending the right message and that the audience feels comfortable. It brings me joy knowing that I am able to bring people in for something new and memorable. Sometimes I want to bring people into the experiences I'm in as well. My hope is that I will be able to continue to be doing this with every new step I take.
